Wik & Walsøe porcelain on several restaurant tables

Several years ago, we began a collaboration with the local seafood restaurant Slippen, one of Norway’s most renowned fish restaurants, beautifully located by the waterfront in Fredrikstad. The restaurant is known for its solid craftsmanship, uncompromising quality, and clear focus on good ingredients. This aligns with our own values, and over the years countless fish soups, oysters, and daily specials have been served on Wik & Walsøe porcelain.

The collaboration with Slippen marked the beginning of a broader move into the restaurant market, and today you can find our porcelain on the tables of several prominent dining establishments across Norway. From Brasserie Britannia in Trondheim, via Nedre Foss Gård in Oslo to the small Kaffeblomsten in Old Fredrikstad and many more. In the autumn of 2025, we also took the step further into Europe, where Slåpeblom was introduced internationally as an expression of Norwegian design, craftsmanship, and porcelain with lasting quality.

At Wik & Walsøe, we work strategically and long-term with the restaurant market. We hope that many of the good moments of the future will be shared both at home around the dining table and out at restaurants, on tableware designed to withstand use but also to create memories. If you have a dining establishment that wants to explore the possibilities of our porcelain for your dishes, please feel free to contact us for a non-binding conversation about the possibilities at post@wik-walsoe.no
